Yeah - I made it - its taken 14 months but Adsense now owes me $102.17 and having reached the $100 threshold will pay out this month :-) :-o Yeah!

I first put Adsense on my own site /blog in Feb 07.  In Sept 07 I joined Hubpages and to date my hubpage Adsens earnings have equated to >50% of my Adsense earnings - though it is fair to say I have been neglecting my own sites for the fun of hubpages!

Are you serious!! I would have given up long ago. At least the Aussie exchange rate to the US dollar  according to my payout is now 1.08 recurring.

Agrees with SunSeven. It took several months for my first check, and I've been receiving them monthly for about 3 months now. Definitely keep at it!

Lissie, congrats on the 1st check!
I remember that feeling and can compare it to receiving PIN only smile That just can't be forgotten cuz it took months to arrive!
I'm sure ur second check from AdSense will come THIS year!
BTW, can't you apply for EFT instead of mail payments?..

    1. Lissie profile image76
Lissieposted 16 years agoin reply to this

It looks like I must have applied and got that set up already  in my early optimistic days! Its a shame they don't pay via paypal - that way I could keep in US$ as I have something I want to buy in US$ anyway.  Anyway I don't care really!

To all who asked regarding the hourly rate - I don't think we really should go there! Though I have earned significantly more via HP flagship hub payments and significantly less from Amazon and EBAy!

But at the risk of sounding unbelievably soppy the biggest thing Ive gained is an audience  - I mean over 200 of you are my fans ROTFL! People actually comment on my hubs - which they never do on my other sites- that is priceless because it gives me confidence that what I am doing is worthwhile for someone else!

Well done Lissie!   I've only just cracked the $50 mark myself, but I earned almost nothing for the first few months, so I'm pretty confident it won't take me another 6 months to reach the $100 mark!

Lissie, Lottery winners often tell us that don't think their new-found wealth will change them. I trust that your move into the jet set, rubbing shoulders with Clooney and Co, won't have a regrettable effect on you?

14 months, eh? I've managed $14 in three months, so I'm a bit behind your rate of progress. However, I recently "acquired" $0.93 for a single click, so I must have some decent ads in there somewhere. I only wish I knew which one it was, so that I could write more hubs that attracted the same high-value ads!

  34. Lissie profile image76
    Lissieposted 16 years ago

Indexer aren't you tracking your hubs in Adsense - you can set up "custom url channels" and track up to 200 different urls - ie 200 hubs.  Its very interesting the ones that make you money are not necessarily the ones with the most traffic!

Very, very true. And without any sort of tracking vehicle, it's like driving without a map. It's very surprising to learn which Hubs are moneymakers.
