Can someone please tell me if I'm doing the hubmob things right? Especially the RSS thing?
the RSS feed isn't working...
try this
In Princessa's first post, go to step #3
Right click and copy link
In the RSS capsule, paste the link where is says Feed URL
When you Preview RSS, it should show you that it is working by displaying hubs from the HubMob.
It is not working for me either tried all that !
Did you try my suggestions from a few pages ago? Or was that last HubMob!?
well i have retried putting in the exact code into a rss capscule
this problem has only just started occurring for me since the start of this competition. Funnily i can still pt in my own code ofr my own hubs & that works...
hmmm.
I just used it in a hub, and it worked.
somethin's up.
I've developed a few bugs since the last HP upgrade.
I am not worried as long as nobody else is !
I hope this isn't too off topic, but where can I find hubmob forum threads from previous topics without scrolling back through all the forums?
In the RSS feed for that topic or use the advanced search tool.
Type in HubMob and *your keyword*.
Sorry, that's not what I meant. I don't really want to write about food. I've been doing hubmobs for about 6 weeks. England was my first one. I'm wondering how to find out what came before England and before that and before that?
Try this. It is my RSS for the HubMob Roundup hubs. Each hub has a link to the forum thread, which has the start link and the RSS. It should show the last 10 HubMob roundups.

@ Rose Mary -- I remembered to include the HubMob graphic this week!!
And, I figured out why I've been having trouble loading it. I've been adding it at the very end of the hub, after the comments capsule. For some reason, the photo capsule doesn't work there. So, I've moved it up!!
See, an old dog can learn new tricks! ha ha ha
Thank you and Princessa for all your work with the WEEKLY HUBMOB!! Woo hoo!!!

The forums is confusing. If I post the week topic in the start a new hub after hitting the contest enter here button will my entrance be counted in the contest. or not?
Hi dixoncircle
If you start the hub from the contest page, it will not be a part of the HubMob.
Click the link in Step 1 of Princessa's first post.
In the window that opens, click "answer this question", then click "make a hub about it".
You will see that in step 3, Choose a Topic, "Food → Cooking Ingredients →" is automatically selected for you.
Simply choose the subcategory from the list that follows Cooking Ingredients, and you are all set. Your hub will be a part of the HubMob, and will also be eligible for the contest.
Be sure to follow the rest of the steps listed in the first post of this thread
There is a countdown clock on the contest page which shows the current topic; use this for the subcategory. (For example, today you could select Baking Supplies, Doughs & Crusts, or Leaveners & Yeast)

I still don't have my internet access back! Grrr! Have learned that everyone in the village have lost their Orange or Vodafone dongle broadband, but Movistar is OK so its just our transmitter that was damaged. Phone lines still operating - its only internet access has been lost. I know which one I'd rather lose and its not the internet LOL

I probably missed the deadline for this. I don't think Macaroni and cheese is a valid cooking idea. But, I do make a decent Chili and cheese omelet. I am also pretty good at making off the wall Pizzas. I worked in a pizza shop for 8 years. All kinds of recipes in my head for that. I also have a few Chinese dishes in my head.
Remember that we still writing ONLY about cooking ingredients. Not recipes yet and today's subtopic (the last one for cooking ingredients) is Vinegars
this last one is tricky, my wheels are spinning on a culinary oil slick. jeje

Happy to hear you have your internet service back. I know exactly how frustrating it is. My internet acces was cut last month for about 3 weeks due to technical problems.... frustrating!
So was mine last month when I never paid the bill - I was off for two weeks, but this time it's already paid for and grrrr...5 days to get the transmitter fixed??
But I sympathise - its awful. Course it could have been worse, I could have a desktop that isn't transportable to a hotspot!
