Hello Hubbers, Welcome to a new month full of new challenges. After a very busy April with The HubMob Greatest hits and the HubPages contest we are entering May full of new ideas to keep making the most of our Hubs.
This week we are going to be sharing tips about an evergreen topic: Saving money. In a world where every day we see prices climbing up and salaries remaining stable, economizing is a very important issue regardless of what country you are based in. This is why this week the HubMob team is prompting you to share your economizing tips. Whether you have a special way to make your money go longer with your weekly shopping, tips to travel in style without spending a fortune, financial advice to make your savings work for you, energy saving tips to run a more energy efficient home, this is the week to share your knowledge about living frugally.
To join in this week's HubMob please follow the following instructions:
1) Click here and follow the link to answer this question clicking on the Make a hub about it option.
2) Create good quality original content that hasn't been covered before.
3) Add the HubMob graphic http://i665.photobucket.com/albums/vv19 … mizing.jpg created for the topic by wyanjen
4) Add this week's RSS feed to your hub clicking on the following link http://hubpages.com/question/121752/hub … mizing?rss
5) Categorize your hub according to your topic.
6) After you publish your HubMob Hub, come back to the forum and post a link to your hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.
Have fun writing your hubs, remember that this week sharing your saving tips can make you money !
Here is a great way to get out and see zoos for little to no cost, i.e. free. I hope you enjoy Visit a Zoo FREE.
If you would be kind enough to leave comments about anything - if you like/dislike, didn't know about this, how I could improve my writing etc.
Nice topic you have posted since then. Thanks.
Excuse me if this has been covered somewhere else -- I've been away from HP a long time and I've never done the Hubmob topic before.
Is there a deadline for this specific top? Are there length requirements or other guidelines I should know about? Thanks.
No guidelines except that your hub needs to be on the topic given. It runs through the week (Sunday night). You add the hubmob graphic and the rss feed to your hub. The exact steps are at the top of the page! It's just great fun to create a hub about a specific topic. Sometimes it helps with that pesky writer's block.
Have just published my economising hub on how cyclists can save money while still enjoying the sport
http://hubpages.com/hub/Money-Saving-Tips-for-Cyclists
Happy reading
I so wish Hubpages would stop guiding people to writing redundent hubs on the same topic. I think Panda is killing this behavior.
Hey every body, Here is the link to my hub as the last link is broken:)
http://hubpages.com/_1fmid2lwhgk2v/hub/ … detergents
I hope this one will work fine.
My hub is about saving money on bubbles by making all soapy things you need at home for laundry, dishwashing, brushing teeth, hair shampoo and many other stuff like that. This will make you save around $150 per month.
Do we have a new topic for this week or are we continuing with this one?
Nice topic you have posted. Truly, if we digitalize our writing papers then it will do a lot of good to us & even it will save trees.
This is the link to my hub
http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Best-Way-To … ey-On-Food
I wrote on how you can save a lot of money by just buying a food flask and carrying your food around.
Hi, this is my first time to join the challenge. I'm new to Hubpages, but looking forward to getting to know all of you. Suggestions and comments welcome. I wrote about how you can use local online, newspaper and magazine calendars to find free activities and expand your horizons. Here's the link, enjoy...

Welcome to HubPages
You did a great job with your hub. Just be sure to add the HubMob RSS feed (step 4 in Princessa's first post.)
Thanks, I appreciate your support. I clicked on that RSS feed link and my hub appeared there. Not sure what I did wrong....help welcome since this is my first time through this.
All the hubs from each weekly topic are included in the RSS feed automatically.
You havent done anything wrong, you just need to add a capsule to your hub that displays the feed.
Read through this:
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Write-a-HubMob-Hub
Thank you for the very helpful link! I've added the RSS feed to my page.
I have a hub I did on direct Selling that shows the facts and figures. People around the world are starting their own business as a way to make extra money to add to the family budget and help pay the bills.
http://hubpages.com/t/203dc7
Is this topic still current? I thought there was a new one each week...perhaps I was mistaken?
If this is still the current topic, I may write a second article.
Here it is. (Is here the right place?)
http://hubpages.com/hub/Economising-on-Haircuts
Economising on haircuts. I just had mine done at the weekend, so it was fresh in my mind.
You have to be first at least once in your life. That was mine.
I can rest now
Such a shame I posted this hub as a newbie prior to finding out about this competition =-( will have to keep my eyes peeled for the next Hubmod.

If anyone has any advice, tips or feedback it'd be greatly appreciated.
With the holiday season just starting, many people are looking for a budget holiday, yet they don't wish to compromise on quality.
My hub Book Holiday Caravans Direct With Owners provides a list of websites where you can book a holiday caravan direct with the owner - saving yourself £100-200 over booking through the holiday park.
Economise on the cost of your holiday, not the quality, by booking a holiday caravan direct with the owners!
The RSS capsule broke (apparently) sometime before last Thursday. HubMobsters, go back and look at your hub after publishing it and you won't see the the RSS feed you saved. This has been reported in the forums, but I have not yet seen any staff reply. I'd like to know how HubMob is going to work without it!
If the hubs are created .... that's a plus. If the rss feeds show up one day, that's great too. In the meantime, as it's been reported, I'll carry on "mobbing" just to create hubs
Where is that? As far as I can see all the RSS feeds are working in my hubs and in any other ones I've checked.
Yesterday Jason acknowledged it as a bug and submitted it to an engineer. It has now apparently been fixed (see the one by calicoaster). But check some HubMobs published the last half of last week through early Monday. Pick authors who definitely know how to do it--it will look like they didn't. You personally did not publish during the affected time.
For Hubs published during the affected time period: The RSS capsule is still there, but the url you inserted was removed when you saved it. You need to go back in and re-add it. Any other parameters you set in that capsule were saved.
The RSS capsule needs to be re-edited for hubs published between the following times, as best I could determine:
-It broke Monday, 25 April, after L.L.Woodard and before emilgen.
-It was repaired Monday 2 May between 8 pm and 11 pm Pacific time.
Hi, Mobsters! ;-)
Here's my hub on saving money when it looks like you have nothing left to cut.
It's not about saving for retirment, or other such things...it's savings for those at the bottom of the barrel, for whom retirement savings, or even any savings account is not even in the budget.
http://hubpages.com/hub/Saving-Money-Wh … eft-to-Cut
So, as someone said, the RSS feed capsule does, indeed, seem to be broken.
What about putting the feed link into a LINKS capsule instead? Would that work?
Sometimes the RSS feed has to "percolate" before it appears in the capsules. Wait 24 hours and check it again.
Someone previously had posted that it was not working, prior to my publishing my hub. It is still not working. I've never experienced any delay before--it always came right up as soon as I published.
Oh, well.
http://hubpages.com/hub/save-by-paintin … n-pictures
I could never afford good art for my walls, so I created my own! Then I created this hub to share how to do it with others.
My hub for this hubmob topic:
25 Tips to Save Money on Food Bills
The article gives some easy-to-do tips that can help you save more while doing regular grocery and food shopping.
May I even add that many people before this economic crisis in this country used to eat organic products as well as use natural body care products. Now they are forced to save and what a nice article you posted. There is a website that I came across that make natural skin/body products for those on a budget. In fact they specialize in keeping their prices low. So see for yourself and visit www.omosebathbodyproducts.com
My first hubmob in probably a year! Working to a budget http://hubpages.com/hub/Working-to-a-budget. My internet too slow today to check what the hub came out like, I clicked publish then kept getting error messages saying timed-out, but it must have published because I got an email saying I had comments on it. Strange I can go to My Account, Feed and Forums, but I can't open any hub including my own!
Welcome back
You had a bad link there. Here is the right link for your hub http://hubpages.com/hub/Working-to-a-budget
Very happy to see you here again.
I published this hub yesterday, but I've done some tweaking and made some additions:
http://hubpages.com/hub/Saving-Money-Wh … eft-to-Cut
I hope that is allowed..also, it is ok to do more than one hub on the topic? I've come up with another angle, and don't want to stuff the points into my original article.
Read it and voted it up. It was great.
Mine is on the costs of eating at home to save money.
http://hubpages.com/hub/Being-Frugal-By-Eating-At-Home
My second hub for this hubmob:
Tips to Save Money on HealthCare Services
The hub gives some essential tips that can be kept in mind while availing healthcare services to receive the maximum benefits out of them, while saving money at the same time.

This hub is a virtual trip around the country meeting other hubbers-it is the most economical way to vacation!
http://hubpages.com/hub/Economical-Vaca … ay-at-Home
Hi guys, I know I'm late, but I had to have a try here, especially that there are nice things and good hubbers sharing here.
By they way, I made a silly mistake "you'll discover when you visit the question page )"
I want to tell you that I wrote a topic that might enable someone in less than 90 minutes to save around $140 WOW!!!
Is that strange? No it's really not
Some people spend time watching the TV or chatting just to kill time and some of hard working people "like us " spend hours and hours to write hubs and blogs and do marketing to get some dollars "may be 10 or more or less".
Why don't we use our time to save money instead of getting more money!!! Good idea, isn't it!!!

I know comptition here is very difficult as great hubbers are joining this, but I'm trying to give ideas that might be useful to some people. Thanks for reading
