yes of course you fit into Christianity. Everyone has a set of beliefs no matter the person. We all choose to believe in something. You are not evil in fact that's the furthest from the truth just as you said your ability is a god given power that you can not just wish away or ignore. That is just part of  your uniqueness something that every person has no matter what their age gender personality or the ability they may posses. Be proud of who you are and never doubt it for it is the person that god has made you.

You are who you are, not what you believe. being a christian doesn't label you a good person, not being one doesn't label you a evil person. What power you have are yours, whether god gave it to you or not, that didn't change that you are yourself. If you don't know yourself and question your belief base on the assumption that you can't label yourself as a christian, then I'll tell you right here right now, I don't care if you yourself isn't a christian, I would still want to know you and befriend you if we've met. Period. Your belief and your ability isn't going to stop me from befriending you if you yourself open up to me.

    Hello Marie.
What you have is the ability to help people. How can that ever be evil. Coming to me, I am faced with a problem that is taking its toll on me. I need your help...

No, I think you're what some might call "sensitive". But you can level up your sensitivity gift by giving it to Jesus, who is the highest power and who can help you use your gift for the greater good, which is what all of us wanna do with whatever skills or gifts we have....

Hello Dr. Marie! Thank you for sharing. I was wondering at what age did you begin to see the future and how do you know it is accurate? Do these things you see actually come to pass and how do you know unless you follow these people? I was also wondering if these "dead people" have appeared to you on their own or did you organize a ceremony to call them up? Your gift may indeed be God given, but it is very possible to use our God given gifts in a way that does not honor Creator God. I am speaking from a biblical perspective, but I think what you are doing is very dangerous...not only for you but for those you are trying to help. I'm sure you do not mean to do any harm and you really want to help people. My advice to you is to seek God and ask Him to show you how to use your gift in a way that brings glory and honor to Him. I also encourage you to read this article that I pasted a link to below. I believe if you give your life over to Jesus who is the only way to God the Father who is in heaven, then you will walk in greater power and authority in this gift. Peace and blessings to you!

No, you are not an evil. Every ability a person attains is a God-given gift. Also, it is how you look on things, whether you see it in a good way or a bad way. Its just how you interpret yourself and your ability. And so with Christianity, God did not give any precautions that you are not allowed to be a Christian if you have this ability and what so ever. Just be true, and believe that good in you.

your not evil, nor is your gift. some people of the church will support you, while others may not. and if people use the bible as a way of getting you down, like telling you your evil because the bible says so, remember that most times those verses are often taken out of context and also in the old testament and even after Jesus came, everyone who was different or afflicted, or barren we considered "sinful" because that's the way most people thought in the past. still to this day people are put down because of their gifts and differences, but now they can hide behind a screen name. so no you are not evil, you are wonderfully made, hold your head up proundly and keep on smiling

I never believed in love spells or magic until i met this spell caster once when i went to Africa on a business summit. I meant a man who’s name Priest ebafortare (priestebafortare_solutionshrine@yahoo.com) he is really powerful and could help cast spells to bring back one’s gone, lost lover and magic money spell or spell for a good job or luck spell .I’m now happy & a living testimony because the man i had wanted to marry left me 2 weeks before our wedding and my life was upside down because our relationship has been on for 5years. I really loved him, but his family was against us and he had no good paying job. So when i met this spell caster, i told Priest ebafortare what happened and explained the situation of things to him. At first i was undecided and doubtful, but i just gave it a try. And in 6 days when i returned to UK, my boyfriend (now husband) called me by himself and came to me apologizing that everything had been settled with his mom and family and he got a new job interview so we should get married. I didn’t believe it cos the spell caster only asked for my name and my boyfriends name and all i wanted him to do. Well we are happily married now and we are expecting our little kid, and my husband also got the new job and our lives became much better. His email is (priestebafortare_solutionshrine@yahoo.com)

I have only read part of the answers here and that was plenty.  Dr. Marie, God/Jesus loves us all. Yes, there are Christians who will spit hate and use the bible to damn others and scream bible verses to make you feel bad about the gift that was given to you by God himself.

But the prophet's themselves spoke to ghost, and those who translate the bible do so to their own benefits. The scripture below is one you hardly ever hear anyone speak about.

1 Samuel 28: Samuel had died some time earlier,[a] and people from all over Israel had attended his funeral in his hometown of Ramah.
Meanwhile, Saul had been trying to get rid of everyone who spoke with the spirits of the dead.[b] But one day the Philistines brought their soldiers together to attack Israel.....

10 Saul replied, “I swear by the living Lord that nothing will happen to you because of this.” 11 “Who do you want me to bring up?” she asked.
“Bring up the ghost of Samuel,” he answered. 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she screamed. Then she turned to Saul and said, “You’ve tricked me! You’re the king!” 13 “Don’t be afraid,” Saul replied. “Just tell me what you see.” She answered, “I see a spirit rising up out of the ground.” 14 “What does it look like?” “It looks like an old man wearing a robe.” Saul knew it was Samuel, so he bowed down low. 15 “Why are you bothering me by bringing me up like this?” Samuel asked. “I’m terribly worried,” Saul answered. “The Philistines are about to attack me. God has turned his back on me and won’t answer any more by prophets or by dreams. What should I do?”16 Samuel said: If the Lord has turned away from you and is now your enemy, don’t ask me what to do. 17 I’ve already told you: The Lord has sworn to take the kingdom from you and give it to David. And that’s just what he’s doing! 18 When the Lord was angry with the Amalekites, he told you to destroy them, but you didn’t do it. That’s why the Lord is doing this to you. 19 Tomorrow the Lord will let the Philistines defeat Israel’s army, then you and your sons will join me here in the world of the dead.

Why do you think that you can not label yourself as Christian? Does anybody object to your being a Christian?
I do not see any objection for you being a Christian. Your ability to see and talk with dead people is not your fault. May be it is a gift or some defect in your mental state. But it has nothing to do with your being Christian. You are so well a Christian as others are and there should be no doubt in it. You are not evil either. If you have any problem, you can get treated for it by consulting psychiatrists. So do not belittle yourself.
Regarding tarot reading and knowing future, it is a gift. Use it for doing good to society and be happy.

I have abilities too, but my abilities show me that what Christianity is, is merely an illusion.  The God that is outside of ourselves is not what we truly are.

Use your abilities to reach your own consciousness.  The collective consciousness of who we are will point you to this answer too.  It just takes introspecting and asking questions like this.

Why would you want to fit into a lie?  The bible was ripped from the Sumerian and Babylonian texts, the actual divinity of Christ was decided at the council of Nicea (there were more than one meetings of this council, the first one was for the unification of the church, when you dig deeper you will see that they met again to decide how they were going to explain why/how Jesus was the son of God.

The bible contradicts itself and is smeared with harsh judgements (which is why you are wondering why you are evil for having an natural and inherent ability or gift).  There are many reasons why you should be using your abilities to see this stuff because feeling evil or shamed for something all of us can connect to once we open our eyes to what's really around us is so sad.  Why would you follow something that would make you question you to that degree?

Do you murder people? Rape? Steal? Do you take pleasure in the torture of others? My sight tells me no.  The bible says that consorting with psychics (soothsayers) fortune tellers whatever is evil and it's consorting with the devil because they do not want people to actually LOOK at this stuff.

The closest book of the bible to come anywhere near consciousness is the book of Enoch.  If you read it you can see that there is a change in him. He doesn't understand it or what it means, but there is a consciousness shift in him.  What did the people who put this good book do with that particular book of the bible?? They threw it out because it would cause people to question Christianity and all the other garbage in the other books of the bible.

You are a good person with an amazing gift.  Don't cloud your ability with trying to fit into a box that's meant to keep us from really knowing ourselves and who we really are.

    Love and Light to you.

Evil is only defined by the bad things and acts that people do. Such supernatural gifts, eventhough they come from God, are characterized by many Christians as evil. Christians however accept many controversial ideas like the worship of Mary.

I would add the word 'claimed' in front of christian because their words and actions do not represent Christ. Catholics worship Mary many other denominations do not...neither do I. Mind I was Catholic when young and they do pray to her.

We are created as special, we are unique and you don't need to hate yourself because of that ability. Its a blessing and a gift from god

I believe there is a verse or maybe more than one in the old testament. when I prayed about this, knowing that my family was treating me horrible for my abilities. I woke up hearing I am Micah. I immediately read the book of Micah in the bible. I found a verse that said it like this. If you have this ability and you lie to people you will be given a disease. This happened to a psychic that lied to me. She was getting paid for lying to me. She lost her business. She had no insurance and had to have surgery and chemo. Her family went bankrupt as her daughter had fooled people into receiving holistic care that was not holistic. They no longer live in the town. So I do believe that you can be a christian and a psychic, as long as you do not lie to people. there is a christian psychics network on blog talk radio that you can call in for a short reading for free. Dr. Jenny pays the fee to have this show. Maybe she would need a good reader like you.

Welcome..Seer.   You will have a difficult time fitting in into todays society with your talent.  If you really are gifted as you feel.  God-gifted people, stay in the boundaries of the 'word' of Jesus Christ.   If you are Occultist.  Your powers to 'see' is not from God but Satan.  You are following a dangerous path.  Be careful.  Remember, whenever, you change your mind, God would like for you to come back to him, and be his child and serve him.

Due to the structure of teaching within the Christian Churches, it is hard to understand a different perspective.    If you feel that strongly.  Then it is a good thing to think in helping others from the kindness of your heart.

Having a psychic ability is not evil! Having a psychic ability is a gift. Gift from a God and it is only upto you If you use it in a good or bad way. I strongly believe in God and I love angels and Tarot with Numerology. If you are using your psychic ability to help other people than you are on a good track.

Yes, it is a gift from God to be used positively and for the benefit of people. But why all of you term it as "psychic ability"? Is it not extra-ordinary power or ability? Psychic refers to something defective which is not good. So do not use it.

True christians do not walk in fear (love is the absence of fear) the trouble comes with interpretations of the Bible. There is only love and good in God. Those who do not live as Christ did will not be able to withstand the power of His pureness.

I too am a born psychic and a Christian. I too delved into tarot cards and even what I thought was good witchcraft.  I was being led astray. In doing so, I opened a door that let demons into my life.  A shadow man started stalking me.  I'd see him at the foot of my bed at night.  And my life became hell--I suffered great misfortune and all kinds of loss.

It took a couple of years of daily Deliverance prayers, but I believe I've finally cast those dark forces out of my life.  Slowly, things are getting much better. I haven't seen the shadow man in months.

I will never do tarot cards or witchcraft again.

I do believe my psychic ability is a God-given gift, but I also know that I must be very careful about how I use it.  Now, I never use it to communicate with the dead.  Communicating with the dead is dangerous as the spirit could be a demon trying to trick you and the bible warns you not to communicate with the dead.

I will also never use my psychic ability for selfish reasons--such as looking into the future to see lottery numbers.  In short, I'm trying to avoid anything that I think would be offensive to God or that might go against his will.

I will only use my psychic ability for good, in a way that I feel serves God or is entirely innocent.  For instance, I helped a woman find her lost dog. Right now, I'm solving very old murder cases purely for entertainment value.  I believe that I'm not hurting anyone or interfering in God's will by doing so.

I'm not looking to my psychic abilities for answers in my own life, because we should be going to God for that.

Please, do take care in using your ability.  And burn those tarot cards. Don't willingly speak to dead people.  If you see a dead person, pray for them instead as that's what they really need you to do for them.  And always remember that the Lord's Prayer is one of the most powerful prayers of all. Say it every day.

    Good luck!

You are correct to not label you’re self as a Christian, biblically speaking. No one is good nor should we be condemning you as evil.

The problem with most of the answers here is; many people are answering the question with their personal feeling or opinions, which is the biggest problem. How we feel about your situation being (evil or not) is irrelevant.

It’s not about how we feel or what we think, it all boils down to, and do you want to know the truth for your own personal gain. Not something that will make you feel good or give you a false sense that you’re alright, but the truth that only the Saviour can give if you really want it.

The truth hurts and most of us don’t want it because it teaches us to stop this or give up that and stop thinking with our fleshly mind and to  think with the Spirit that God has given believers to guide them.

You say you believe in God and Jesus right? So, pick up a Bible and ask yourself, do I really want to know the truth? Because the real truth is not what we think it is and it will not be what the world says is alright.

The truth will cause to have to live an isolated life because a real Christ will not doing the things that we in the world and that includes a lot of the things the Christians of today does, which is not Godly. Most God loving Christian are not living a holy life, they only think they are.

Well, I'm new to HubPages and all, but maybe you should pray and ask God for the answer, instead of asking a group of writers. After all, God is the only one whose opinion matters on this subject, right? We may not judge you for what you do, but He certainly will all of us for what we do or don't do.

I say don't ask priests, lawyers, basketball players, hubbers, or anyone else. Leave the answer between you, God, and the Holy Bible. Sadly, everything else is man-made and open to corruption and misinterpretation.

    I hope this helps.

Merry Meet my friend. I think it takes much bravery to post this question and much strength and for that I commend you. I have many Christian friends and I have studied the beliefs for a long time. According to the Bible, yes it is evil. It is not something that one should do. However, the Bible was written by men regardless of what people may say to that it is the truth. I do not believe that if your God knew you before you were born that he would give you a gift to help people only to damn you. As a psychic medium I have helped a lot of people. I have never used it for my gain or to cause anyone harm. I love sharing my path and bridging the gap between my beliefs and those of Christianity. I am sure that my comment will be bashed by someone who is closed minded and doesn't want to see the beauty within us all. That is fine. I choose to walk my life in love and light, a beautiful example of Divine love. I think, that only you can decide if your gift is a gift or a curse. Only you can decide to use it to heal or harm. Our paths regardless of what we call ourselves all go up the same mountain. We are all headed towards the same destination, it is just that we travel different roads. Be true to who you are always. Hold onto the personal truths within you and others will gravitate to you. I wish you much happiness and knowledge. I wish you friends that will support you and pick you up. I wish you acceptance by your peers. Most importantly, I wish you inner peace as I feel this is something that has caused you much pain and self doubt. Brightest Blessings and you have a friend in me.

How do YOU feel about being a psychic? Do you think you were given the ability for a reason? If so, do you think you could inspire, help or save someone's life by telling them something they otherwise may never hear? If so, what if you ended up saving a life and that person went on to find the cure for a disease or worked with children in a way that encouraged them to become amazing adults. What if you and only you had the ability to reach out to someone with your ability because you are the only person who could get through to them. They understand you. Does this sound like God? Does this go along with everything we've been taught? Does it make you uneasy? Now think about this. What person with power to change lives hasn't felt uneasy? He or she changed a life for the better though. After that, do you still love God despite the fact that you're a psychic? Haven't we always been told that God loves everyone? Didn't God create you? Now, do you wonder where this psychic ability came from? Only God knows the future. You were made in God's image. With that said, God Bless you wink

You are not evil. Evil means acting on evil. You have a strong love for God and you express that by your concerns. God allows those of us with stronger faith to deal with things that others cannot handle. You have a gift. Doubt is evil. Trust that God has chosen you with this gift because he knows your love for him will not be shaken. If you are scared, tell God. I share some experiences that scared me to death (spiritual) I prayed about them. Each experience I screamed "Lord Jesus I love you" repeatedly. So no matter what, I wore my God Shield. Now...I am in search for a psychic with a gift from God. Can you contact me or can I contact you. I'll pray for you as well. God Bless in Jesus name

As a psychic advisor on a well-established and reputable psychic line, your abilities fit in perfectly with the Christian paradigm.  One of the gifts of the spirit was this ability and if you use it to help others, then you are performing a service in assisting others with their problems.  I also read tarot cards, but I do not need them.  They provide a road map to give a client something on which to focus.  With the on-line phone readings I may not even mention I am using the tarot as a guide.  I started doing professional readings about 5 years, but I have been like this since I was a child.  At 58 years old, I am quite comfortable with my gift and am glad I am able to provide comfort to others who seek my help.  Blessings!

Actually you are right and your believe ia also valuable. So don't think that you are psychic. First of all you have to make yourself as much strong as you can. It will help you to improve your self confidence. Along with this you
will start your believing on yourself. Which is much necessary.

I also believe in God and am a Christian and have a few psychic things happen to me. But I did learn from Christians about the witch of Endor which is in the bible and it falls under the category of sorcery.  So I think that there are visions from God which are from a Godly source but using tarot cards is from the occult side I think that fall under sorcery and witchcraft.
Furthermore, I don't think you are evil but what you are practicing is evil although I am not perfect.  I think that you probably do it to help people and you probably are deceived into thinking that it is a God-given ability.  Remember that the demons also believed in God too.  And Satan gives power to people who use his tools- things like Tarot Cards or the oijee board.  You need to be delivered from it I know because I used to play around with those things.  I'm gonna tell you that those things cause depression, demonic activity in your home and many other weird things. Renounce all of it and ask God to forgive you. Read Christian books on the topic.  You probably were told all of these things before but don't want to give up something that makes you feel special or have power.
I believe that you are a nice person with a big heart and I'm sure God will lead you to do the right thing if you seek Him.

No.  I don't think you are evil, here's why.  There is a passage in the Old Testament that forbids Hebrews from "trafficking in familiar spirits," or something along those lines.  I DO believe you have a divine gift, however, God forbids people putting their trust in THAT ability instead of in God's ability.  Only God truly knows the future and if a person is blessed with the gift of foresight, all thanks, praises and acknowledgements should go to God, in Jesus' name, for those revelations after they are uttered by you.  You should take absolutely NO CREDIT for the things you know or speak.  Most importantly, you should never use your gift to bring praises or profit to yourself.  That cheapens your gift and takes honor and glory away from the Creator.  That's my two cents.  Hope it helps.

    Greetings,

No.  You are not evil.  If you believe you are psychic, however, that brings up other questions:
    1.)   Do you really want to "fit into Christianity?"  If so;
    2.)   Why?
3.)   Have you been told you are "evil" by so-called 'Christians?'

Real (as opposed to "nominal") Christians would never label someone as "evil."  Real Christians have a foundation for their belief.  It is the reason they are known as Christians.  It is not difficult to learn whether one is Christian or not.  However; it is an intricate process.  The time required to find out is determined by where one already is in the process. Where one is can be easily decided.

My family is Christian and many of my family members have these kind of abilities. We were always taught as it was a gift from God and not to be use for evil intent. In the Bible, there are stories of the holy spirit so what are we to think that was. My mother reads medicine cards (Native American tarot cards) and she is very spiritual believer in God. So, in my opinion, I see nothing wrong with your beliefs and you should not discredit your what you believe in.

As an Evolutionary Pastor, I have to say that Christianity has been proven to be a made up religion that is Paganism based! It is with this that I teach that our creator being not of a book but rather of the genetic coding of our DNA is an Evolutionary God who's only concern for our existence is that our bloodline evolves the longer that the life cycle continues. Giving us all a certain gift that also evolves! It is the Adaptation of our psyche that allows us to be a few steps ahead of natural events that takes place within our lives! Be proud of your gift and use it often for it is your gift that offers many services in life! Be free, take charge and be your own lord and savior for it will be you that will continue to make a difference in a person's life!

Evolution begins with our every existence giving us the power to be able to make the most out of our lives without being condemned and controlled!

Not Christian, nor anything else. A humanist agnostic if one must be labelled.

However, I don't believe that a loving God, as I am told the Christian God is supposed to be (not convinced, but thats another matter), would give you an ability or 'difference' that you would need to hide.

I think that you have every right to say you are a Christian - your journey with God is personal, as is everyone else's journey. You believe in God, his love and that you are created in his image, have experienced a calling to have faith in Him etc. Just like anyone else.

What I wonder is - are those who are psychic, like yourself, actually sent from God to test his followers? To see if they are really following his word about loving thy neighbour, casting no stones unless sinless, belief in the love of God for all, and that we are all created in His Image? Or whether they are just cherry picking who and whom they accept, and judging even when they are advised not to by the Book they use for the rules?

If this is the case - some are seriously failing at this test.

    Be well, and happy.
