I think we could use more peace and understanding, less tolerating of governments, political and religious extremists and news media pushing us farther apart. I am suggesting a peace ring where people from around the world do a hub on peace and link together.
To join this Hubs across the world unite for peace
Click this link and answer the request.
Then write your hub for world peace.
Post the above picture on your hub so that people will know that it is a Hubs across the world unite for peace, hub.
Place a RSS capsule in your hub with this feed
http://hubpages.com/_worldpeace/request … ew&rss
Use hubs for world peace as one of your tags.
Come back to this forum and place a link to your hub.
Place a link to this forum so that your readers can get in on the action.
We have a great start. We have hubs for peace linked around the globe. So far we have hubs from The Philippians, India, Northern Ireland (via the US) USA and of course the hub that inspired it all from Pakistan. I hope to see more hubs joining the link.
Here is my contribution:
Actually, I already wrote this Hub and have just stumbled upon the "Hubs for Peace" and added the illustration to this Hub. I assume that's not cheating.
I think this is a really great idea, hopefully more people will step forward and join hands for world peace. Here is my hub link, I wrote it a while back, thank you papermoon for suggesting this idea http://hubpages.com/hub/Pakistanies--Te … r-stricken
Here's to world peace!
gr8archer, thank you for the hub that inspired me to do this. Your corner of the world is so dark to the average American. We get what the media feeds to us, and as you said, it dwells on the negative for sensationalism. I though if only everyone here could just understand, there would not be so much defensiveness towards your country. Thank you for a look into your life. I for one, am grateful that you shared.
I'm really happy that my little hub generated this wonderful idea in your mind, I was thinking on the same lines but wasn't sure how to actually do it . Thank you for taking this step towards the betterment of humanity, I sincerely hope this will make a difference in the world!
This is nice, I hope I could come up with a nice piece for this.
Here is my hub on Hubs across the world unite for peace. The writing is not as eloquent as my other pieces, but I think the message is.
http://hubpages.com/_worldpeace/hub/hub … -for-peace
I'll submit a hub later today.
The hounds need walking otherwise I'll get no peace!
Here's my attempt:
Great idea, thanks.
Here is my contribution. Thank you for coming up with this great idea. I have never done anything better with my limited ability to write.
Pete -- for some reason HubPages is not letting my comments appear on other peoples' hubs! I enjoyed reading your perspectives very much. I've never been to the Middle East, and must admit it would be the last place on earth I would like to visit (after Siberia, even. Or Antarctica).
Be sure to RSS to place an RSS capsule on your hub to show links to other peace hubs.
I think this link will work.
I'm a dummy in this area. How do I do the RSS thing?
Click on "edit hub" -- scroll down -- you will see options to add an rss capsule -- add it. Now: highlight the RSS feed above and right-click--choose "copy link location" and go back to the capsule on your hub-- paste the link, click test or preview, click save -- and hey, presto!
Thank you all for joining the cause! We are indeed getting hubs from around the world!
Here's my American attempt at promoting understanding about Americans, and my thoughts on peace:
Thank you for your wonderfull addition Lisa.
And dont forget to insert an rss capsule somewere in your hubs and paste this link in it to hook all of the hubs together.
Thanks Paper Moon for this great idea! I just made my contribution.

I'm on with one relating to Portugal. I will link etc once I've finished it
You guys are making this a great project. Thanks for joining in.
Nothing is sadder than watching our young ones die over war...
Nothing could be sadder than realizing human beings can't get
along...I think all hubbers would want Peace on the Planet...and that hubbers represent what alot of the world thinks...So... What's the Malfunction...World Leaders???
Dear World Leaders: If anyone of you should read this by any chance...We want Peace Now...Get Busy With it! There should never be an excuse to have to wake up in a world that has uttered in an era of advanced warfare delivery packages with a mushroom cloud and desert frost by-product resulting from it...(and you know what I mean by that)! If you are in a position of leadership...you need to do your part to avoid this...it is a priority abobe all else.

Some of my thoughts on peace: http://hubpages.com/hub/A-piece-of-my-mind-for-peace
I want to submit a hub I previously published, and want to donate it for this cause. Just a wonderful idea.
Great work, everyone.
Wow! I appreciate everyone joining the cause! I would especially like to thank everyone who has/ will write hubs on for this.
Manlypoetryman- what a great letter. I think everyone should agree with you.
Thanks for a great idea Paper Moon. I was just over to VioletSun's hub and found my way here. I will ponder about this topic and will definitely write one about it too.
Well, last night I finished the Hub about peace whhile not knowing on conscious level about your request. But 2 days ago I started to feel strong desire to write - about peace.
You can consider that your request influenced me on subconscious and emotional level, and this influence was so strong, that I could not resist.
Energy of peace is working....
VioletSun explained me today all about your request, so my link is http://hubpages.com/Hub/world-prayers
Thanks for inspiration, writting this Hub brought a lot of peace in my life already.
Alright, my 100th Hub, on a shared world vision
What an awesome idea. I'm proud to be able to post my contribution.
Peace and Civility
Everybody, thank you so much for getting involved. I am a little behind on reading your hubs but I will get to it as soon as I can. We have a lot of great hubs going into this project.
Paper - this truly was a great notion. I for one enjoyed writing mine. As I'm sure everyone else did. There's a million reasons and more why peace for all should be, would be and could be achievable ... maybe one day huh?
Here is my contribution. Thanks!
Francis M’s Kaleidoscope World – Music for Peace
Charia- I am so glad you wrote a hub for this. We have quite a few Great hubs for the Hubs Unite for Peace.
Here's mine..Smoke the peace pipe.
Please remember to link the hubs togther.
Do this using RSS.
For any one having questions of the RSS link, here is the basic gist of it. (I think. I do have a fever so may go off of the deep end)
Hit Edit (unless you are already in the editing mode)
Go to Add Capsule
and click on the one that says "rss". This will add the capsule at the bottom of the page.
Click Edit on the rss Capsule.
Copy the following link.
http://hubpages.com/_worldpeace/request … ew&rss
Paste this in the FEED URL.
Change Maximum number of items to display to 8
Set the display method.
Hit preview RSS to make sure it works.
Hit the save button.
Move it around like any other capsule.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
I would like to thank everyone for being part of this.
Lyla- thank you for your beautiful contribution with your hub Smoke the Peace Pipe.

I give! I've searched the first 3 or 4 pages of "Getting Help" Forum and I've read the entire Link's Capsule section in the Learning Center (http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/using-hubtool). That Hub, by the way, has a large number of Quick Links in it. How do you create a list of topics...
