You've known her for over a year as one of our best Hubbers, but now Maddie Ruud joins HubPages (yes, at our downtown SF office) as the head moderator!
She will be moderating Hubs, the Forums, and Requests, and answering our team email box. As someone who has demonstrated that she knows, respects and maintains the high standards that HubPages enjoys, we are thrilled to have her as part of the team.
I've actually been working here at HubPages since March, and was a Hubber on the site for about a year before that. I hope I won't have to moderate you... be sure to check out our guidelines on Overly Promotional content and Substandard content just to be sure!
Thanks Jimmy! I'm thrilled to be writing this (from the HubPages headquarters!), not only as a member of the HP community, but also as an official member of the team. Great to be able to help out a site in which I've been so invested myself, and take a little pressure off the fantastic team you all know and love--Jason, Paul, and Paul, especially.
*meanwhile pundits wait in the wings, waiting to see what sweeping changes Head Moderator Maddie will make. Will she be a kind and magnanimous ruler? Will she stamp out duplicate content and subject all to rigorous spell checking? The tides of change have risen, and the Interweb gods have spoken*
(In all seriousness, congratulations You definitely deserve it.)
