Maddie here's to your good health. You've alluded a few times to having a myserious health condition that's being stubborn. So I'm sending you all the best healing wishes from Cape Cod. (Well some are going through GA to hit habee and others are whipping through the African continent to get to Cindy Vine, but you know what I mean.)You're an important part of our community and I'm sure many others here wish you the best, as well.

I hope you get well. I've also heard a few things and hope that the tests etc helped them discover the problems.

I'm sure that all the spam deleting you've been doing hasn't lowered your stress levels - so don't forget to sit back and relax!

All the best Maddie.  I've certainly had my health battles too.  I've been feeling much better since I fired all the MDs in favor of naturopathy and homeopathy.  Hope you find answers and wellness.

I know she suffers from headaches, because I just said it yesterday. I suffer from headaches on occasion. When I was young I would get a headache every day for 2 months. Then it would disappear. This has been happening on and off for the duration of my life.

Either way headaches are no fun, and that is enough to wish her well, I hope there are no other problems, because having a splitting headache is one of the worst feelings I've ever had.

Thank you all so much.  I got a bit teary, I don't mind admitting.  Mikeydoes is right, the problem is headaches... or rather one continuous headache that I'll have had for the last year (the anniversary being at the end of this month).  I've had just about every test imaginable, and tried countless medications.  I'll be undergoing an experimental treatment at the end of this month (insurance approval pending, of course).  I appreciate all your good wishes, thoughts, vibes, prayers... whatever you can throw my way.

Again, thank you all so much.  The HubPages community is dearer to my heart than you might realize, and this means so much coming from you.

I had a friend with the same problem, almost exactly.  She was on every medication possible and she underwent every test possible. (we live in canada...we can do that...for free:))
Turned out that they just went away on their own after about a year.  Before they started she had experienced a false pregnancy and the doctors thought maybe it was related somehow, although they are not sure how.

Today, she is migraine-free and everyone is still mystified.  But humans are like that.  We are just one big puzzle that no one can figure out.

anyways, good luck to you Maddie, I really hope they just...go away!  Take care

I shall bake. My chocolate cake is awesome. Sell them and send Maddie the revenue. It's the only damn thing I can do in the kitchen, bake. Besides washing up of course lol

Or I'll do a sponsored 'something'. Or donate a % of my earnings. Here we get it all free, medical stuff. There'd be no worrying whether the insurance would cover it. I'd hate to be in the position Maddie's in.

I take medication every day, heck knows how it would work if I didn't have the money.

Best wishes, Maddie - coping with that level of pain must be awful, especially when you have our petty squabbling to deal with. Hope that you manage to get it all sorted out.

Frogdropping: If the insurance won't cover it, I am sure that we can send a few sturdy Hubbers around to the insurance company's offices, for a little gentle persuasion. big_smile

So sorry to hear that you are suffering like this, Maddie.  Have any of your docs mentioned New Daily Persistent Headache? I have had it (6 years this month). It's basically a headache that shows up rather randomly one day and never goes away.
Chronic head pain can change your life so drastically - I hope that you are pushing through and hanging in there until you can get some answers and relief (and taking it easy when you need to).
      You are not alone. smile
I hope you are feeling well today.
