      I am grateful for my positive attitude. Life has its challenges and somehow I explore positive areas to help me cope. My feeling is this: If we understand and provide a "listening ear" other individuals, life is better not only for one's self, it also helps those in need. I understand there is a downside to this. Those we try to help can refuse our supportive insights, which in turn, can have a negative effect. I am a believer in doing little acts of kindness to others. I also can see my limitations. Life is not perfect, but I try to make life better on a minute scale.

    As someone who was a tail end hippy in my youth, I have been homeless and hungry, wet and cold.
    
    So I am thankful for a home, a pantry full of food, money in the bank, new wheels and a job.
    
    One other thing I am thankful for is the animals..... Those are the ones that can make you really "see" and appreciate much.

    I am very grateful today, because It's Friday!!! wooohhhhhooooo last day of my work 2nd is, even though I'm very stressed due to some issues and situations in the office, I still manage to continue to work and be positive about the outcome of my work, even though my other half is gone. Well, one can't work if one is missing. So I'm so thankful for today.

    Having a good, incisive mind, living comfortably without struggle and worrying about having a roof over my head, being in good health, enjoying good food, having wonderful books,being close to my cousin, and in general, BEING ALIVE for life is indeed a GIFT!
    
    P.S. Living in America where there are still opportunities to reinvent oneself and to accomplish one's dreams if one works smart and plan.

    My son's broken leg has healed and he will be playing baseball in the Brain Cancer tournament this weekend. It's a great cause and he's playing for family who has cancer and in memory of those we lost last year. I am grateful for the lesson in compassion he is learning and the spirit of playing for something much larger than just a game.

    Today I'm feeling especially grateful to the dedicated and courageous nurses and doctors working to eliminate the ebola outbreak.
    Because we saw "The Judge," last night I'm feeling grateful to the writers, producers, actors, etc. who made such a stunning movie to provoke thought and analysis of our own lives.
    Today I'm also grateful for the half tablet of hydrocodone I had left over from a tooth extraction that stopped whatever the heck pain it was that I was experiencing last night and let me sleep.   
    I'm thankful today that the little Halloween-themed game app my husband and I created to build concentration and reading skills for kids is FINALLY done and in googleplay and soon to be in the Applestore.  I'm grateful to the ONE person in my FB network who downloaded it and the ONE person who shared the link.
    
    And I'm grateful for EVERYTHING and EVERYONE else.

    I woke up to beautiful big snow flakes falling this morning, that showed up on the tree bows and here and there. But, it soon melted when the sun came out and it was a lovely fall day to get outside to do yard work.

    I am grateful after meeting Mom's new primary care doctor yesterday for the first time. He is well educated, he went to medical school, (not to medicare school), and is very sensitive to Mom and is caring. Plus, Mom will be able to have home care rehab after having rotator cuff surgery. What a blessing that will be for an 87 year old lady, and for me as her personal care giver. I will learn to do the physical therapy with Mom, under the supervision of a therapist who will come once a week.
