I finally got my first hate mail!

            What you need to do is write a hub that proves g** does not exist. This makes them "turn the other cheek" so badly, they feel the need to write and tell you how much they pity you and "love" you.
            
            Nice to see you too. I was banned for a 3rd time for explaining to one of the trolls that if they bought a dictionary, they would then learn the meaning of the words they insist on misusing. This is a "personal attack" apparently. Odd that. I think I may have a few people report me every time I say something to one of the trolls or religionists. I believe this is what they call "love."

               This is very true, Mark.  You can't really "poke holes" in people's ARGUMENTS, at least in the forums, anymore.  I think their definition of "personal attack" needs to be a little more defined, to say the least.

      How bad does it have to be to qualify as "hate mail"? Not sure if I got any yet. I did get some not-so-nice ones, but that's about it.

         Oh, I think I should clarify.  I meant comment.  It called it mail because I got the notice in my email. 
         
         It was long enough to be considered a novel letter though.  But you can read it. 
         
         And it kept going too.

    Sounds like you wrote a Hub that hit somebody's sore spot.
    We always like your hubs because they are original and never bland.
    You never can tell what will trigger hate mail.  Pat writes a blog about her clothes and recently got hate mail about her shoes!

    Welcome to the club!
    It was only two days after I put up my current picture that I had an Indian guy fan me just to be able to send me a message telling me that I was going to cause my family and I to burn in hell for posting such a picture, and that I should be banned for forcing other people to have to look at in the forums.

    I haven't gotten hate mail yet, but I've certainly gotten lots of hateful comments left on hubs.
    
    I did receive my first really friendly email comment last week though. Someone found one of my hubs on another account very useful and actually took the time to write me an email. It made my day!

    I don't have any hate mail yet, oh wait or any good mail either. However I became a ralwus fan, and he in turn became mine and I am not sure but I feel obligated to take a nude picture of myself laying in the grass with my hat on just to commemorate the moment.
      Problem with that is if I put it in my profile I will induce more hate mail than good mail as well as uncontrollable vomiting internet wide.

    Sandra, I read it out of curiosity.  Very impressive.    I particularly liked the comment thrown in about how you try to convince people not to believe in God.   
    
    I have one Hub that brought a "Hub Lynch Mob" when people either didn't get, or pretended not to get, the message of the Hub.  None of them were anywhere near as long as your hate-comment was, though. 
    
    Then there's a Hub I did that simply answered a request about whether neat freaks "have personality disorders".  I essentially said that there is such a thing as a neat freak who just prefers to be neat and clean but who doesn't have OCD.  Well - that one brought obscenities, as well as accusations that I am "seriously mentally ill".      (I'm assuming it was messy people whose buttons I pushed.    )
    
    Oh - and then there have been a few "clever geniuses" who have accused me of working for companies (or else their competitors) whose products I wrote about (just because I happen to have the products and thought I may as well write about them.   I just stopped answering those because it was getting to be a full-time job.
    
    You never know where the hate will come from (some of the most stupid stuff); but the people who write it are usually unreasonable enough that it can be fun to poke holes in everything they say.
