   I would like to write a hub about Frank McCourt's , Angela's Ashes, a story about a poor boy, born in New York, but grew up in Limerick to a father that was alway drunk and on the dole and a very prolific mother who suffered from their poverty. The book, Angela's Ashes was a Pulitzer Prize winner, and a movie was also made about this story by the same title.

    Coming from a musical family, and blessed as the descendant of  Irish immigrants, I am grateful that my "ear" for music is influenced by my ancestors. My grandfather loved music, and loved to hear his granddaughters sing. Some of the songs we learned, and that I still love to this day, are the traditional folk songs and ballads of my Irish heritage. read more

The script for the film was also written by Dick Clement and Ian la Frenais.
