Hello everybody, hope you had a great weekend; mine was literally "heavenly" as I spent my weekend doing the three things that I absolutely adore: partying, sunbathing and parachuting! Nothing better to start the week than having spent a couple of days doing what you like the most. So after a controversial week with 22 entries for last week's LGBT issues HubMob, this week is going to be a week about YOU. Yes, this week's topic is YOUR hobbies and interests.
Tell us all about your favourite things, your idea of a blissful time, whether it is a calm afternoon reading a book in your garden or surfing wild waves on the ocean. We all want to hear about your hobby, we all want to know what makes you "tick". Give us some tips, share your most amazing moments, introduce us to an unknown form of entertainment, tell us why are you interested in your hobby, the benefits and drawbacks and how to get started. This is the week to share your passion with the world!
Some ideas for a HubMob hub are:
Collecting: stamps, coins, dolls, photos.
Dance as a hobby.
Sports you love watching or doing.
Arts and crafts
Singing. Are you part of a chorus? Do you sing or play in a band?
To join this week's HubMob please follow the steps below:
1. CLICK THIS LINK and answer the Request.
2. Choose a relevant title for your HubMob to get a good ranking in the search engines, make your title relevant to your hub content and AVOID starting your title with "Weekly HubMob"
3. If necessary change the category for your hub according to your content.
4. Include the HubMob RSS Feed in your hub:
5. Add the HubMob graphic to your hub so that everyone who reads it will know that it is part of the official HubMob topic of the week.
6. After you publish your HubMob Hub, come back to the forum and post a link to your hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why. Take advantage of the free publicity!
7. Keep track of your Hub and keep us updated on any traffic that you're getting and have fun writing your HubMob Hub
For those who are still not sure about what is a HubMob and the benefits of taking part in one I created this guide http://hubpages.com/hub/What-is-a-HubMo … o-join-one , please feel free to come up with any questions if you have any doubts left.
I like this weeks topic Princessa. I will have something to contribute this week that's for sure.
I'm so new to this! How do you paste the Hubmob graphic into your hub? Thanks!
Another great topic, princessa - so many ideas, so little time. I'll be back with a hub...
Only one RedElf? You amazed me with your three entries last week, You are doing a great work:)

I'm a newbie here at HubPages. Think I'll try this HubMob thing. I love to knit, so why not. How do I add the rss feed?
Hi, DoodleLyn! Easy as pie to add the RSS feed. Add an RSS capsule to your hub, copy and paste the feed link that Princessa put in the first post of this thread, click save. Voila!
You have a couple of options that you can change. You can choose how many titles show. The default is 3 but many people choose 8. Go with how ever many you want. You can also pick between full description, shortened description and first sentence being displayed. Just play around with the options until you find a layout you like.
Does that help?
The hub is already to go for when we get some responses, Princessa.
Oh and DoodleLyn, don't forget to come back here and post your hub link so that I can add it to the HubMob hub.
ok here's mine didn't think I'd have time
Glad I did
Envoy, you're the first this week!
The hub is now live: HubMob of Hobbies
Great topic! If I can find my digital camera charger, I will have to take some pics of some of my favorite artwork that I do (altered art trading cards). They are a lot of fun to make.
I'm working on a Hub about my Hubbie's hobby! He makes chain mail from coat hangers. Its on the way. Maybe tomorrow we'll be done if he'll just pose for a few photos.

OK, it's done and posted. I tried pasting the hubmob logo to my computer, then calling it up through the picture link, but it couldn't read it. Is it because I have a Mac, and if so, how can I get the hubmob logo?
I would also like to add some pictures from the internet, but had the same problem. Hence, I have lots of text that could use some spacing.
welcome to the HubMOb, that is a great Hub entry, it makes me want to start knitting
Sorry I cannot help with your logo problems. Maybe someone can help you on the knowledge exchange forum: http://hubpages.com/forum/3
Glad to have you around!
An alternative for the HubMob graphic is to right click on it and 'copy image location' and use that link.
oops, I made a booboo. I published my hub without answering the question, so I guess it doesn't count, but for what it's worth...
Here is my entry for this week, enjoy the thrill:
Skydiving my new passion
Seeing as how I mucked up my first one, here's another on collecting silver coins...
OK decided to go with my pet dogs down the years. Dogs are just so fab. They are more than a hobby, more like a passion, but there you go.
here it is, and thanks, princessa for another great topic!

Please let me know if I've missed anyone along the way.
I may have not linked this hubmob to the wirte link. Sorry. My computer has been crashing and jammimg all day.
I decided to write about collecting in general. Hope it fits the bill, at least partly:)
Here is my Hubmob topic about my husband's unusual passion for making chain mail from coat hangers:
Unusual Hobbies: Making Chain Mail Out of Coat Hangers
I missed out totally on this one. Am getting down to it right away.
A hobby I'm currently working on is the wide exciting world of Jigsaw Puzzles. So I found out the history, some good puzzle tips and how to preserve your puzzle.
This is also my first mob hub and lucky number 11 over all.

-Thanks Princessa for the great hub on this and answering my questions. ^-^
OK, here is my hobby hub. I might be able to get another one done, but being on vacation without consistent internet access has been difficult. May be able to publish one on Sunday.

You're trying to beat your own record now, aren't you?
Is this a hobby? Just asking. You've made me hungry, by the way.
Actually, yes to both, lol (Can trying to beat one's own record be called a hobby? Or is hub-mobbing the hobby?)
...though, it's a bit of a sad weekend around here...will have to get back to recipes - much safer topics...sorry Shirley, lol
http://hubpages.com/hub/Elegy-For-A-Wed … Love-Today
Poor thing! How do you write under those circumstances? You are amazing. I wasn't able to write a word while going through that.
Did I mention that you're amazing?
Thanks, Shirley - you guys are pretty amazing too.
Hub Pages has been a real life line for me. Usually I just crawl in a hole and pull it in after me. "Usually" ha! sounds like I've had lots of practice, lol - well, some, but not tons,
I was told I should try to journal about it all, but that has never appealed to me. Too much like navel gazing, I guess. To my mind, even pain needs to produce something useful, else what good is what we go through?.
I take some time off to scream and kick the walls, and then I write some more. The discipline of writing for others, rather than just blatting it all out, helps me maintain some perspective and keep going.
...and thanks so much for your kind support. I really appreciate it.
I think that's proof that you'll make it through and be stronger on the other side. You're being constructive in spite of (because of?) the pain. I'm glad that you let it out, though.
Okay, I'll stop publicly discussing your personal life. Let me know if I can help.
Shark Diving: Your New Hobby?
Ever considered shark diving? Think it's a crazy suggestion? Shark diving is a hobby that frequently turns into an obsession. It is filled with majestical moments beyond your wildest imagination and it's is also not nearly as dangerous as it sounds. Still not sure about diving into this new hobby? Hub has been updated.

Man, I can't stop thinking about homemade mac & cheese now!! RedElf!
ok ok ok - this one has nothing to do with food :

It looks like someone is deliberately voting down hubmob hubs again. I guess they didn't learn that it doesn't effect the hub and the traffic.
Why on earth??? What's the HubMob ever done to them?
I think they need a hobby.
I noticed that when I posted my entry - only three of them showed up in the feed, so I went looking. I don't see a reason for down voting any of them, to be honest - they all looked good to me.
I think you're right, Cashmere.
The hub has been updated: HubMob of Hobbies

The hub has been update: HubMob of Hobbies
Please let me know if I've missed anyone.
Daisy, I never thought of YouTube as a hobby. Great idea!
Hi Shirley ! Thanks for including my entry in HubMob List. Would it be possible for you to correct the typo error in my name in your list. It's ANJALI instead of ANGALI. If you feel it doesn't matter, it's ok for me too.
Oh! Anjalic, I am SO sorry! I will fix it right away where I can. The only place it may be a problem is in the poll. If anyone has voted and I make a change, it erases the votes. So, if it's still on the poll, that means I couldn't change it.
Thanks so much for letting know. I must stop doing these late at night!
I just posted my Hub Mob hub on my hobby, Google Earth. If you haven't tried Google Earth, this is a great opportunity to get a feel of what it's about. I must warn you, you're likely to be hooked once you do.
oops... I keep forgetting to post my link in this thread :-)
http://hubpages.com/hub/Hobbies-HubMob- … ve-a-hobby
I loved them all!! Especially about knitting, I wish I could do that! Google Earth was cool, I am going to look at that again.
Can u do a hub on the easiest knitting steps for beginners?
LOL, fortunerep....can you believe, I skipped an opportunity to go fishing this weekend? I really should have worked on another fishing hub for this one, now that you mention it...wonder if there's enough stamina left in me tonight...
Which actually brings up a question I've thought about eveyr time I miss the hubmob...is it really bad form to "cheat" and add a hub to the hubmob request AFTER the week is up?
Here is my contribution.
