    Happy New Year!!!!

This is this first Monday of the year, the best time to start new projects and work on New Year's resolutions to try to improve our quality of life.  And this month, HubPages is helping Hubbers to get their hands on their personal finances with the "Money grows on Hubs" January contest.

Here in the HubMob we are going to be supporting the contest and will be writing about the same topic.  For the first week of January the HubMob Weekly topic will be "Getting Out of Debt".  For those of you who are interested in entering your hubs in the contest please read carefully the contest rules  before you post your hub.

    http://i665.photobucket.com/albums/vv19/wyanjen/HubMob/out-of-debt.jpg

As in previous contests, there is a daily bonus for those who write about a given topic during the week.  The scheduled bonus topics for this week will be

    Monday, January 3rd: Understanding Finance
    Tuesday, January 4th: Credit Cards
    Wednesday, January 5th: Student Loans
    Thursday, January 6th: Car Loans
Friday, January 7th: Home Mortgages and Loans
Saturday, January 8th: Debt and Bankruptcy
Sunday, January 9th: Tax and Taxes

Remember that you can add extra interest to your hub making it both: a HubMob and a Contest hub at the same time.  To enter your hub in this week's contest you only need to publish a relevant hub on the topic and categorize it under personal finances.  To enter your Hub in the HubMob please follow the instructions below.

    1.  START YOUR HUB CLICKING THIS LINK.  Choose the "Answer this Question" green button.  Choose the MAKE A HUB ABOUT IT option.

    2. Include the HubMob RSS Feed in your hub: http://hubpages.com/question/95696/hubm … ew&rss
For more information on how to add the RSS feed to your hub you can click here

    4. Add the New HubMob graphic http://i665.photobucket.com/albums/vv19 … R-2011.jpg  or this week's HubMob graphic http://i665.photobucket.com/albums/vv19 … f-debt.jpg
to your hub so that everyone who reads it will know that it is part of the official HubMob topic of the week

    5. Categorize: Please make sure you categorize your hub according to your chosen topic.

    6. After you publish your Hub, come back to the forum and post a link to your hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.

Have a great start of the year!!!

You have to "copy hyperlink" or "copy shortcut", not merely "copy".  You can also click on Princessa's RSS link, taking you to the link, then copy address from navigation bar.

    Hmmmmmm.....

I'm no economist; have no more than a layman's very general grasp of the laws surrounding banking etc.; I'm not a statistician; I don't have money in the stock market and I wasn't born with the proverbial silver spoon in my mouth.

What I do have is some level of real-life experience and opinion.  For me, this is a hot-button topic of "Oh, boy--don't get me started!"

I'm afraid any hub I might submit on the topic would be very sardonic in nature, and strictly based on personal opinion.

I'm not sure that angle would meet the spirit of either the hub mob or the contest!

However, if that sort of twist would be acceptable, let me know, and I'll tell all.  wink

Hi, while the HubMob is very open to different styles and angles to a given topic, the Contest is more specific.  For further information about suitability for the contest please refer to the contest rules.

Otherwise, you are welcome with new styles and original takes at our HubMob topic.

Understanding Finance was my choisce and put me under some healthy performance pressure tis evening. I published at 11:59 0n Jan 3rd.

I use a film from 1964, Mary Poppins, to demonstrate the choices we need to understand and make to get out of debt and stay out of debt. It is designed to use to teach children important principles of responsible finance in a fun way. I hope that you enjoy the Hub. http://hubpages.com/hub/Tuppence-Invest … ng-Finance

This is a common problem when you just select "copy".

Try clicking on the link, taking you to the RSS feed.  Then copy the link from the navigation bar.

Or right click on the link, and instead of "copy", select "copy link", "copy hyperlink" or "copy shortcut".

      ello Mr SonHi,

I am having the same problem, its about my loan in 2009 which was of 1.25lacs with ICICI.I did repayed them half d amount around 80thousand Rupees and because of the recession i lost my job.any was unable to pay for 3 months.i told those DSAs that i want to go for settelment but they just went away.suddenly ICICI advocate is calling me and telling me that u have to pay back the interest total of 2lacs and we r having our meeting tommorrow, otherwise we will take action.i just got paniced for a moment that, firstly some advocate of ICICI bank is calling and some meeting is going to happen and some bad thoughts started coming like what will happen if my name goes to police and will they harm my parents and so on.after reading all ur articles and suggestions i think i can reply them back in a rude way,as i did had some query that if this guy is an advocate,he knows to give a notice of around 1 month but this fake advocate is telling me we have r meeting tomorrow and u r in danger.
and I cannot repay back this big amount,i want to ask you

can settelment be done wth 10,000 or 12,000.as i am going through a very difficult time .

Please reply me soon and give me some suggestion and inspiration.

Bankruptcy need not be the solution to debt that has become out of control. Today's contribution to the topic is 5 Alternatives to Bankruptcy When Debt is Out of Control.

Bankruptcy must be the most difficult word to type more than a couple of times. It just seems wrong the more you type it. I had to keep using the spell check to be sure.

Sometimes it seems we can't control our debts and are about to spiral into a debt crisis. The Debt Snowball method lets you pay off debts in a planned stepwise manner.

Here's my Hub describing how to use it

Thumbs up... We can live a debt free life
