Many of us here on HubPages bring our lives and struggles into our writing. We write to come to terms with the past or to tell our dreams of the future. Have you written your story in a hub-or hubs? Which one of your hubs tells your story and why did you decide to write it and post it?
All my hubs tell my story. I hope it will help someone else.
http://hubpages.com/hub/Who-is-SimeyC really is the hub all about me - it tells of my life, my family and my inspirations - it gives an insight into the good things in my life as well as the sadness....if you then link it to my '50 things I'd like to do before I die' hub then you almost get the complete picture....almost!
Great Hub. You are a lucky guy to have such a family and to accomplish 12 years of marriage is also a great accomplishment. Although I would have been sold the moment I read you are a Beatles fan
(I love The Beatles)
Thanks for sharing some insight as to who you are sir
All my hubs are a piece of me. You can gain a lot by reading my hubs and possibly even understand my complicated personality. I'm a unique person. I've rarely met people who are eye to eye with me.
If you want a glimpse into my childhood, then you can read a true story I wrote about A Lost Soul - My Missing Father. I do go into some detail about my life. Not everything, but just up through high school years and a year or so beyond.
The story end about the time when I reached 18 years old. There is much in my life you can find throughout the forum threads, because I don't hold nothing back. I am outspoken and make others aware of it. Most of the time I am blunt and honest, which throws people off.
But, you would have to read everything I've written to gain a complete understanding.
Great thread. Thank you.
Thanks for asking! While it is only fiction, my two part hub "The Punky-Wunkies" is the one I would want people to read in order to understand me better. It deals with all of the major issues in my life.
http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Punky-Wunkies--Part-One
Wow- you can really write a story, cant you!? I am very impressed with your ability to capture the audiences attention. Thanks for sharing and posting in this thread.
i think most of my hubs tell little parts of my 'story', but my hub re: my son is a "reflection of who i am and what matters". he is my greatest blessing, bar none.
http://hubpages.com/hub/Summers-lease-h … ort-a-date
thanks for this thread.
I would have to say this one...http://hubpages.com/hub/my28days
Although, that's one of my darker, less 'entertaining' hubs!
Great idea, HC!
Great Hub-You should be very proud of yourself for such a great accomplishment. I hope that you continue on the path you have managed to find.
When i write hubs they are mostly about situations a human being can find themselves in unexpectadly. Unfortunately, when you are in this situation youquite often find people shy away from you, treat you as some kind of lepar and stigmatism rules.
I write my hubs to try and help people in these situations to let them know that there is often a solution even though they don't think so at the time.
I have not been hubbing so long so i haven't touched on the psychological aspect of certain illnesses/diseases.
I am note sure that my hubs describe me as a person as i really do have to keep a cerain distance from the emotional aspect to be able to do a good job.
In real life i can be quite soft and squeamish but never when i am working. Which really doesn't make alot of sense now does it?
All of them tell different parts of the same story, all of them are lived through, all of them my thoughts on real events.
http://hubpages.com/hub/ParadiseLostACh … tInnocence is one of the times that I've told about myself or my life. It's about an incident that really effected the way I look at the world, when I first realized loss. (Hope it's okay to post the link, but you asked for it. How about you, HC?
My hub about the death of my brother..
"Wait! Oh Wait! My Brother" keeps him alive to the world.
My hubs on my spirituality also reflects who I am.
"Kabbalah Concepts"
Wow-what an insight into your soul. Thanks for posting this and allowing us to get to know you better
There are alot of Creativeone's hubs that reflect who I am and what matters. They are indeed lovely. Thanks H.C!
http://hubpages.com/hub/Gemini-In-June tells a chapter of my life but I'm still working on it
Wonderful Expression and Insight into your personality and life-this hub truly left me speechless. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Hi guys, I'm in my car posting from my cell so I can't really post my hubs that reflect my life until I get home-didnt want anyone to think I wasn't answering
Has to be this one http://hubpages.com/hub/This-beautiful-gift-of-mine
Great writing- and beautiful expression in this poem... It is probably one of my favorite hubs I have read since being here on hubpages... Thanks for sharing this with the community...
All of mine as well tell a bit about me... If I had to choose, I would say these four give a fairly clear over-view of me....
1 http://hubpages.com/hub/My-Time-as-a-Pr … nal-Killer
2 http://hubpages.com/hub/Knowing-Mikel-G … ods-Puzzle
3 http://hubpages.com/hub/Sexual-Harassme … th-Century
4 http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Seasoning-o … -G-Roberts
If that doesn't show you who I am then add this one...
5 http://hubpages.com/hub/Benign-Neutrali … ddle-Gound
Mikel, I have just begun to read your hubs and I can only say Wow... What a life you have lead. Nothing that I expected and like nothing I have ever read before. Thank you for sharing with everyone.
Um...Thank You, I'm a little embarrassed.
I'm not use to compliments I guess...
I share bits & pieces in a lot of my writing, but I think this one in memory of my father, says a lot about me.
http://hubpages.com/hub/A-Legacy-Remembered
This was a truly beautiful tribute to a man that obviously had great influence on you. I admire and am a bit jealous of the relationship-and love you have for your father and how much you know about who he was as a man, and what he went through in his life.
This one would be mine ...
http://hubpages.com/hub/What-is-a-Hmrjmr
This was a great hub. I enjoyed reading about the pride that you felt and dedication you gave to the job that you were given to do. A completely different life with experiences that many have not had. Thanks for posting
Every article that one writes reveals something about him/her.
Great idea for a thread!
Here's mine:
http://hubpages.com/hub/treating-alcoholism-daily
You are doing a great job, living your life sober! Thanks for sharing- 4 years is a great accomplishment and I am sure you have many more years ahead of you to experience more of the best years of your life
Hmmm.... I think this is my story...
http://hubpages.com/hub/Why-I-believe-i … ic-or-Bust
Out of all my personal hubs, this one just reflects... Why I am Who I am.
If anyone can not read this and understand your views-they need to re-examine their own. You are a survivor, and have a kind heart...Thanks for sharing apart of who you are.
out of my 9 hubs, I would have to say the 2 that touch on both sides of my ancestory...being 1/2 Native American and 1/2 Appalachian American
1. Traditional Appalachian Recipes, as taught to me by my Mother's Mom
2. North American Native Indian Life , as Translated and taught by my ANCESTORS
both are a beginning of a series of hubs , written in honor of the family I was born into and in honor of those who have passed away
who i am changes with my moods as i am a registered Schiz. if you wanna know how i think read any of them. my most recent encounter-inspired poem is:
http://hubpages.com/hub/hamstersmessiah
that will give you an insight into how my mind works and maybe yours...
Not exactly sure how to comment on your hub... Thanks for sharing your mind with everyone.
This hub tells the story behind my avatar:
http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Story-Behin … ys-Profile
These two hubs are the nearest to my heart:
http://hubpages.com/hub/Split-Second-A-Tribute-to-Kevin
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-Do-You-Over … ng-a-Child
Well you got me crying like a baby-I can relate to your story all too well, and although I read through tears, I am very glad i read your hub How to get over the loss of a child. Thanks for sharing it
Hey that's not very nice...
{Grinning}
You're even starting to look a little like Nostrodamus. Will you read my palms??? ROFL.
depends on what your holding in them as I read them...lol
I am willing to compromise haha. Bring it on I say Nostrodamus
http://hubpages.com/hub/A-Guardian-Angel-Came-to-Me is about my life experiences and why I have the faith I have.
http://hubpages.com/hub/God-Is-My-Co-Pilot is about what we experienced in this recession and when I thought I stopped believing he was always there for us.
I share who I am often so there are many that are a reflection of me and what truly matters I just could not list them all.
I have written about sadness, drunk driving, our soldiers, other people , I write about life.
We all need an angel watching over us sometimes-thanks for the great hub
I put a little of myself in each of my hubs. I have thought about writing a more biographical hub but who wants to read another story of someone rising from one bad adversity to another? well, besides me, because I do get inspiration to go on from those.
I forgot one , it is deep in the archives http://hubpages.com/hub/A-Wing-and-a-Prayer that is what happened to me and I am still strong so when others believe I have never had an experiences come my way I have lived a life and I am still here to talk about. I was rebellious, defiant and to kind so I am also thankful for sharing this story too!
http://hubpages.com/hub/Raped-But-Living
The video of my life
Blondepoet: you inspired me to write this hub:
http://hubpages.com/hub/Suicide-is-Painless
Extremely powerful, motivational, inspiring hub. Survival is the key to life- we cant always choose what happens to us, but we can decide how we survive after we experience horrific events. Thanks for sharing this-you have yourself a new follower
Everything I write is a part of me and reveals something of who I am and what's important to me. The Hub which I wrote to deliberately tell the story of my life is The Journey of my Life http://hubpages.com/hub/The-journey-of-my-life
I wrote that as part of a writing course I did which asked participants to write about themselves in 2500 words. I did that and then expanded it!
I enjoyed reading your life story. It was nicely written and interesting. Thanks for posting the link...
A very different hub- one you can read so easily from beginning to end-
Thanks
Sorry to interrupt here, but BP's follower count is very scary.
I HAVE to finish my Hub tonight... Just saying hi, best wishes, and happy foruming!
there are a couple that reflect who I am
http://hubpages.com/hub/Right-Minded
http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Greek-Me-American-Gyro
The others are on the work I do and life and oh yeah hockey...
I really enjoyed the hub on Left handed people and the Right Brain, thanks for sharing-I doubt I would have ever read it if you hadn't of posted it in this forum. Thanks
http://hubpages.com/hub/Terminal-Illnes … ow-I-do-It
http://hubpages.com/hub/Rachels-Love-A- … nda-Cooper
I wrote both of these as therapy for myself in dealing with current situations only I haven't died yet as told in "Rachels Love"
I am quite impressed with your spirit and the advice you have given in your terminal illness piece. Great Job!
I also enjoyed your Short Story- another example of how love can be in sight but not quite within your reach-Beautiful Hub!
Thanks for sharing these with us-I am glad I had a chance to read some of your writing and I look forward to reading much more from you.
I've only written indirectly about my life. There are just too many family members that could be so very offended and heartbroken if I was direct. However, there are essentially three hubs that tell some of my life. They are "There's More to Surviving Abuse than Surviving," "There Is a Meadow," and "A Piano Parable for Christmas."
BTW, HC, this is a great forum post. I'm going to enjoy all the great reads. Thanks for doing this!
First of all-thanks for posting in this forum. Second-thanks for writing a hub that made perfect sense and gave such wonderful advice to abuse victims. I read it slowly to make sure I read every word.
I have several stories that reflect who I am as a person, my goals and overcoming adversity. From my struggle with depression to the awesome experience on a reality show, I try to share my deepest thoughts. To me, sharing your own personal battles with others is the best way to reach another individual who may be going through the same thing. If it weren't for my willingness to reveal myself, I would be in a very bad place. Thank God for communities like Hubpages that opens the door to share with a great bunch of folks.
wow, you were on a reality show? that's awesome! even if it didn't get to air...still awesome!
You are a great writer, and I loved the way that you expressed yourself and wrote with such honesty in your depression hub. You have a new follower. Glad I was able to read your writing. Thanks for posting in this thread
Thank you everyone who responded. I cant wait to get started reading some of the hubs that matter the most to the writers here. As for me many of my hubs fit together like puzzle pieces, telling a bit of my story here and a bit of my story there. I would have to say, other than my poetry and hubs having to do with Photography or drawing, there are three that tell a more personal part of my story-hopes and dreams.
http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Will-to-Sur … t-of-Hours
http://hubpages.com/hub/To-My-Beautiful-Unborn-Son
http://hubpages.com/hub/Today-You-said- … elieved-it
This WEIRD, TRUE and FREAKY hub of mine is one of the more embarrassing experiences of my life that I decided to share with everyone,
http://hubpages.com/hub/DoesThisLookLikeACurlingIron
While this more recent hub-athough a movie review- is a hub expounding on how a few hours watching a rented DVD changed my life forever for the good as I sobbed my eyes and heart out. It was no different when I wrote it; the tears kept flowing...
http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Boy-In-The- … ed-My-Life
Enjoy!
I am still smiling over the hair curling technique you decided to experiment with. Too Funny! You have excellent writing abilities and a way of describing the situations and putting the most hilarious picture in someone’s mind. Thanks so much for the links....I am still smiling!
my most personal hub which shares part of who I am is about happiness and how I 'found' it.
http://hubpages.com/hub/Finding-Happine … the-Secret
I loved your hub- it was very uplifting and today was a day that I needed to read such a great perspective about happiness. Thanks for sharing
thanks HC for reading and happy to know it helped you.
I haven't really written the definitive hub that tells my story yet, but I have revealed glimpses of both the weirder aspects of my life and the more emotional side of my character. I guess I'm still working up to something that I can point to and say, "this is my life" or "this is what I'm about."
I still hope and intend to, though.
Nice question, BTW. Very thought-provoking, even if I didn't really answer it.
I just read your pet peeves hub and that was a little insight- what annoys us is very much apart of who we are...
But I also love your poetry, it is all very well written, and I am able to picture the moment that your poems describe in my mind. I am not too sure how personal they are to you, but they are all beautiful
Well, Obviously my walking hub shows my sence of adventure, and my love for the outdoors, while my donation hub shows my more serious side. The rest display my creativity, and my tastes in Music. I will only write a hub on a subject that interests me.
I don't just write hubs, to have hundreds of them. That would probably help me with traffic, and generating income, but, it's really not what I want to do right now.
My VISA hubs reflect what I went through in learning the hard way.
Also have some kids stories that I make up for my kid.
So far all of my hubs reflect something about myself. I haven't yet gotten to the serious side - "How to" Hubs - cuz I wanted to learn & get started first.
Here is a hub near and dear to my heart- about my purpose in life.
http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Purpose-of-Life
And here is one I refer back to when I'm down in the dumps....it gets me out of my pity party....
http://hubpages.com/hub/Pick-Yourself-U … urself-Off
You are one great writer. I loved the purpose of your life... Very honest and true writing-which made me an instant fan. Thanks for sharing
just a part of my journey thus far hope you enjoy and let me know what you think
http://hubpages.com/hub/Apart-of-my-journey
Great Writing-and soul searching. I love that you were very honest with your self awareness and reflections about how you view the world. I hope you will soon find your place/purpose. Thanks for sharing!
Each of my poems tell you a bit about me. They're like a stripping down of my soul on paper. There is one that puts in in a nutshell, though:
http://hubpages.com/hub/You-Dont-Know-Me
Nicely done. A great way of saying-don't judge me before you know me and you may not ever know who I really am anyways. Rated Up Becca-great job!!!
I would like to present four of my essays which should reveal something ... hopefully
The Future Of The English Language
My Version Of Feng Shui
How To Prevent Your Hair From Turning Grey
Comparing Michael Jackson With Elvis Presley
Cheers!
You have great writing skills and from your Feng Shui hub I can see you believe in the improving life in whatever ways available- I am looking forward to reading the rest of your articles. Thanks for sharing.
I do have a couple that delves into my earlier life that is both personal and autobiographical:
If I Had Wings
Why I Write: A Reflection
These two hubs tells about some of my years while attending college in New York:
Aboard a Greyhound Bus For the Holidays
Autumn in New Paltz New York
There are snippets and other clues to who I am scattered in many of my hubs and the rest can be found by clicking on my avatar.
Great idea, H.C. Porter! Thanks for posting this
I have not yet written my life story. I have started it before, deleted it, started it again... I am not sure I will ever write my life story, but if I choose to publish some of my short stories or poetry here, my readers will get a glimpse into my past, my present, and perhaps my future. I'm just not sure if I want to get that personal here yet.
Just about every Hub I write touches on some part of my life.
This is the one that's the most directly about me,
http://hubpages.com/hub/relache
All my travel-related Hubs are about my road adventures, the gardening ones are about what's in the backyard, etc.
I think everything that I write down on hubpages, from hubs to forums tell my story. It's hard for me to just pinpoint one thing.
I reveal a small portion of me in each hub I write. The two that reveal the most about me are:
http://hubpages.com/hub/Here-To-Stay
http://hubpages.com/hub/Things-That-Cha … Pet-Peeves
The one I have not written yet! It never has been about me. It is more about celebrating others.

I was wondering why there were only 20 page views on two of awordlover's newest hubs and I just found out why. The same day they were published, they were copied to the following website. I just got done filing with Blogger since they own the site this guy --Aaron Wong -- is putting...

Hello Fellow Hubbers,One of the freelance jobs that I'm currently doing allows me to place appropriate links, as long as they are not directly to my own work.Rather than post links to random search results, I thought I'd ask around at HP to see if anyone has any great hubs on the subjects I'm...
