For this week's HubMob, I have decided to cover a topic that is truly close to many people's hearts - their pets. I have never really been a pet owner, but as I meet more and more people I realize the huge role that they play in the lives of others around me. So, this HubMob is basically a way for all of you pet lovers out there to let the world know a little bit about what you have figured out about pets.

Also, if you're not a fan of pets, you can play along, too - just publish a Hub on something like 'Why I am happy about never owning a smelly pet'. You're free to write about whatever you want for this HubMob(we get some reeeally interesting stuff), just so long as it's somewhat about the topic of pets.

As usual, I left it pretty wide open as far as specific Hub topic ideas go, but it seems like none of you ever have trouble putting your spin on whatever I throw out each week. So, whether you want to write about 'Tips On Managing Multiple Dogs In One House' or 'The Best Way To Clean An Iguana Cage', there is always something about pets that you know about the most, so write away!

To join this week's HubMob, please follow the steps below:

    1. Come up with an amazing idea to write your Hub on that has something to do with the topic of Halloween and what about it you always look forward to. Make the topic your own and feel free to have fun with it, research it or wing it. It's up to you on how you write your HubMob Hub.

    2. After you come up with your topic idea, click this link and answer the Request that I entered in for all of you HubMobsters. Feel free to use the tags that I suggested or add a few of your own.

    3. Write a an awesomely comprehensive Hub that completely covers your topic idea. Be sure to add an RSS Capsule that includes the RSS feed to the rest of this week's HubMob entries (Link: http://hubpages.com/request/7545/best?rss) and also add one of the HubMob images below to your Hub so that everyone who reads it will know that it is part of the official HubMob topic of the week.

    http://hubpages.com/u/513477_f520.jpg

    http://hubpages.com/u/515149_f520.jpg

    4. After you publish your HubMob Hub, reply in this Forum thread with a brief description of what topic idea you wrote about, why you chose it and a link to your newly published contribution to the HubMob. I mean, we all want to see, too!

    5. Keep track of your Hub and keep us updated on any traffic that you're getting and post some screenshots if you end up HubMobbing a few search keyword over on Google.

    6. Promote the HubMob by sending out this link to your friends, family and complete strangers http://HubPages.com/info/hubmob

I thought that we'd get a good response from this one...looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

I might have to do a Hub on 'The Luxuries Of Not Owning A Pet' or something.

Or, I could do 'How To Deal With A Girlfriend Who Really Really Really Wants A Pug'.  smile

I like the first one. Personally, as much as I love my pets, it's a huge strain on one's life. It definitely poses a number of extra baggages. I'd say as many pros as there are having pets, there are just as many cons.

As for pugs.. *scrunches nose* cute but way to many health problems, definitely touch on that one if you opt the second..

Man I've been playing more on the forums or at least reading them than I have been writing. Sad.  I'm being a procrastinator today.

I have a Pug and they are wonderful! I just love this picture, Hup!
As for the health problems, we are dealing with a treatable illness right now but then he is 8 years old (rather 56 in dog years) so I think we are pretty fortunate in that area.

I will definitely be doing a hub on the pets topic but I am embarrassed to say that I have no clue as to the RSS thing. Never used it and don't know where to start. Guess I'll have to research that part before I get started!

Ah man thanks Ryan, I could have done my spaying female dogs hub for the hubmob. Guess I'll have to think of a new hub or two. :-/ Shouldn't be too hard though.

Yea I did 2. one that answered another request and one that sort of related to the request, but could have been a hubmob answer instead. Oh well, it'll just get my mind working for another idea.

Oops, I did this one a couple weeks ago with the praying mantis thing, and I'm not sure I'd have anything interesting to say about dogs and cats. Someday I hope to be able to write a hub on working out a compromise between one spouse who thinks dogs are too unsanitary to live inside and another who thinks non-working dogs should be with their people most of the time so they don't bark incessantly, etc. but no such compromise has been worked out yet and we remain dogless. sad

    Hmm. ~pulls out thinking cap~

      Hey kerryg,

It doesn't have to be about cats and dogs - just about anything that has to do with pets. I'm sure that you can find something to write about?

I can come up with some off-the-wall and random stuff it you'd like. smile

I published a Halloween Hub last week only to finally realize there was more to the HubMob gravy train than staying on topic. I'm linked and ready, baby! My Hub describes how to protect small pets from predators in the desert Southwest. Lots of people move out here, leave their pets outside overnight, then find their pets' leashes chewed through and their pets gone. It is a gruesome problem that can easily be prevented. Check it out:
