You know you are getting old when........ There are so many things that make you realise your age. Doctors, wanting to examine you, who look as if they should still be wearing a school uniform. Police officers who look as if they should still be active members of a school gang. Memories of toys, that children today have either never heard of or think belong in the Ark.

Well I now fall into this category and can relate to all of the above. I may have no children but, with a barrel load of niec read more

Today's kids have just about everything, and as they get older and use to getting whatever they wanted growing up they tend to want more expensive "toys".  The burden falls on their parents and loved ones.  Many, do not think about where the money is coming from to get their toys and objects.  In today's economy, parents need to sit down and talk to their kids about reality and explain they may not get all they ask for.  Instead of toys, I think the parents should give their children a bank account (joint type) and teach them how to save and budget. An excellent program I found recently that is easy to use and understand to help anyone budgeting is the software called YNAB (You Need A Budget) software. YNAB Pro is only $50.91 including tax and well worth it price.
