Thanks, Misbah, for informing us. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. May God be merciful upon her and give her a speedy recovery. I am most astonished to receive this news. Earlier in the day I just read how she was taking it one day at at a time. Let's all pray. Hopefully she will be alright soon.

      Thank you Misbah.
I do feel so lost here at the hospital, but everyone's warm wishes and prayers really do help.

Right now they think this might have been my problem back in October when I was in hospital for 4 days.
I suppose the tests they do in the morning will let us know more.
I will try to keep you updated when I can.

      Thank you to everyone !!
It helps me so much to feel your wonderful words.

I have tears streaming down my face...but they are happy ones.

Not only your kitty, we all need you here among us. It’s good to know they found no major blocks and I am hoping the VTs have stopped by now. Did they say what might have caused the VTs? If your stress test went fine and there were no blocks found and yet they found the bottom part not functioning as it should be then it might have been stress induced cardiomyopathy which should be reversible. This is not so common and has a strange sounding name: Takotsubo cardiomyopathy....or there might have been a microvascular cause....both the cases are not as severe as having a block..There can be other reasons for the VTs as well. But I am sure they excluded all the other correctable causes by now. Whatever the cause is, may you be blessed with good health and a quick recovery from this. Get well soon, dear Brenda.

  42. Pamela99 profile image90
    Pamela99posted 22 months ago

I don't think they know at this time what has caused the VTs. Of course, that is dangerous. Brenda may end up with new medications or a pacemaker-defibrillator. The stress test was abnormal, which is why they did the cardiac cath today. I hope they decide on a good treatment soon. I am still praying for her.

Glad to hear the good news updates. Thanks for keeping us informed, Misbah.

Brenda, I hope you are resting and trying to take it easy, putting word prompts aside for a bit. I've had similar issues and found that it was not as serious as thought, ended up being more stress-based. I went through the eval process last year, wearing a monitor, having the heart catheterization (no blockages), and subsequently prescribed meds that I take every day. Even if we don't have a diagnosis of "heart disease," we can still be prone to putting stress on our hearts. You've been through a great deal the last couple years so be gentle with yourself and breathe. We want you to be healthy. So, take some time easing back into doing what you love most - writing for us and for yourself. Sending healing hugs.

That is great news for now. It is good that Brenda’s condition will continue to be monitored however.
