I am no longer an innocent man. I am an oil painter and a writer and some days, when the sun shines through the mist in the air and the birds change their tunes and my daughter laughs at my hair and my wife whispers tasty morsels in my ear, I am a poet.

I have made at least one painting that is not for sale.  It was very difficult to create, but I can not explain why. My memory is ephemeral but purposeful, my creative pulse does indeed burn like a prairie fire.

I will write I will make art.

I don't enjoy it when I hear people complain about creatives "selling out" when there are so many artless and terrible ventures in this world that generate massive fortunes for villainous people. Try not to be an art bigot if you dare.
