I'm freakin' out! Just got an email from a theater company in New York City that's been experimenting with performing monologues based on current issues in the blogosphere. They've gotten great reviews, so they're doing more now. They want to perform one of my hubs!
Holy McCrapski! That is seriously awesome! Congratulations! It's obviously well-deserved. You TOTALLY have to get a copy of the performance (if they allow that) and share it with us. That is so awesome!
Thanks, hubbers. I can't wait to learn more. BTW, hubby has just informed me that he has no interest in going to NYC, and to be honest, I have mixed feelings about it, too. Maybe they'll videotape the performance and send me a copy. I just think it's a nice compliment that they want to use my hub. And I think it will give me some more exposure to my writing, which is always a good thing!
Congratulations, habee. (Of all the things one imagines could happen from having a Hub noticed, who'd think having one show up in a performance would be one of them. ) Who knows... Maybe next: "Habee's Hub: The Movie, Based on the Broadway Play."
Lol. You don't really have a corn silo, do you? Is that a quote from "Sargeant York" by chance?
Seriously, it's a great honor. As Cardelean said, it's bigtime FOR us. It's a big deal for all of us at HP and just goes to show that good things do happen to good hubbers . Thank you for allowing us to share in your moment. Sooooo cool!
Big congrats, Habee. Whether you make the trip to the Big Apple or not, I hope they will give you a video to post on your hub. Great cross-promotion for you both. Woo hoo!!!
MM, I don't really have a corn silo now, but just a few years ago, I did have a big grain bin! I've also had horses, cows, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, turkeys, and more dogs and cats than you can count - all at the same time. I really am a country girl...er...woman. lol. Honestly, Atlanta is too big for me.
Don't ask me why, but all your animals reminded me of this great scene in "When Harry Met Sally." Which of course takes place in FAO Schwartz, NY retail icon (in fact the whole movie is a paean to New York City). Just to get you in the NY State of Mind:).
Yeah, that would be cool to see a list of some of the successes of other hubbers. Like, not financial ones but like: Who got a book deal from their hubs? Who had their hub performed in a theater? Who wrote the book of love?
(Okay that last bit was a joke. )
But it would be cool to kind of see something like this.
Hi friends,I have completed 30 hubs in 11 days and all my hubs with dates can be confirmed via links in my profile. I have done this for the first time, still there are 19 days left before the end of the month and I think I can publish more and more....
It really does take off. I got my first adsense payout at the end of June, and I've just hit the £60 mark for July, so another payout this month. That's not all hubs, because I set up my own blog a month ago, but hubs is most of it.
I honestly can't believe it. But I've checked my spreadsheet half a dozen times. Yes, I just hit the $1,000 threshold for November. (There could be an Amazon return or two tommorrow which will ruin the fun, but for now I'm enjoying the digits.)I'm only running, Amazon, Ebay, and Adsense on hubs...
