   Its totally depend on the person to whom you are giving gift.
   
   If they are close to me than I simply ask them what they need in gift ... so that my gift can be useful for them.
   
   Otherwise I think about the person, about his/her profession, about his/her requirements and according to that I pick the gift.
   
   Like if someone loves computer than I will gift him/her computer accessories such as web cam, wireless keyboard and mouse and so on ...

    Cashew cookies is visitors' favourite for any festive season celebration.  After taking one piece, you will ask for more, until your guilty feeling sets in, and only if you are able to control yourself...     My best gifts are getting those things my loved one enjoy that they can't just get down the street. For example, we live in Alberta and my mom loves Idaho Spud chocolate bars. You can't get them here so I order them from ebay whenever her birthday comes up. She says it is the best gift ever. She also loves Mexican Vanilla so I buy that one as well.
