Thank you HubMobsters for another great week.  Last week's hubmob is the second one with most answers: 80 after the Toys hubmob  and its awesome 117 Entries.  You absolutely rock HubMobsters!

Last week after reading Laura du Toit's hub Celebrating Christmas with an abusive partner I realized that we completely missed the American National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, so in response to Laura's plea to bring awareness to the subject, this week we are going to HubMob about relationship issues concentrating on domestic violence.  Let's try to make a difference by bringing awareness to a topic that too often is kept behind closed doors.  Domestic violence is one of the most under reported crimes despite one in every four woman estimated to experience some form of domestic violence during their lifetime, so let's try to make a difference HubMobsters. Information and awareness is the first step to stopping  domestic violence.
           http://i33.tinypic.com/9glw1v.jpg

Some ideas for a HubMob hub on domestic violence are:
    What is domestic violence
Laws to protect women and children from domestic violence
What to do if you are a victim of domestic violence
Effects of domestic violence on children
    Living with domestic violence
    Emotional blackmail
Shelters for victims of domestic violence
    Anger Management
    Jealousy
    Breaking Up
    Conflict Management
    How to prevent domestic violence
How to regain self respect after suffering from domestic violence
    Economic impact of domestic violence

To join this week's HubMob please follow the steps below:

    1. YOU MUST START YOUR HUB CLICKING THIS LINK.  Choose the Answer the Request green button.  Choose the MAKE A HUB ABOUT IT option.

    2. Choose a relevant title for your Hub to get a good ranking in the search engines, AVOID starting your title with "Weekly HubMob"

    3. Include the HubMob RSS Feed in your hub: http://hubpages.com/question/25247/hubm … olence?rss .  To add the RSS feed, click on the RSS link here which takes you to the RSS feed page, copy the URL from the top and paste it in a link capsule in your hub.

    4. Add the HubMob graphic to your hub so that everyone who reads it will know that it is part of the official HubMob topic of the week.   If you want you can also add the domestic violence poster from above.

    5. After you publish your HubMob Hub, come back to the forum and post a link to your hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.  Take advantage of the free publicity!

If you are still not sure about what is a HubMob and the benefits of taking part in one I created this guide What is a hubmob and how to join one  please feel free to come up with any questions if you have any doubts left.

Hi Shirley, I took the poster from Laura's hub

"The posters used on the hub are available for use. Even if you just have posters printed and displayed in areas where people are busy with their Christmas shopping it may change someone's life."

    Hi Princessa

Firstly I am very pleased about the topic this week - the more awareness the better for those poor people living with abusive partners.

I have just finished a hub on the damaging effects that domestic violence has on children. It has already been published. Is there a way that I can include it in the hubmob for this week?

Sorry Laura, the rules are the rules and ALL hubmob hubs MUST be entered clicking on the ANSWER THE REQEST link.

You can always write a new one and link it back to that one and/or to any other hubs that you have in the subject smile

    Hello Princessa,
I'm in the same situation as Laura du Toit. Have published a hub for the mob topic and didn't start it from the link. Can it be fit into the mix?

Thanks for any help or advice.

Hi Artin, I am sorry but there is nothing I can do.  You have 2 options:

    1) Delete your hub and start again, this time starting from the ANSWER THE REQUEST link; or

    2) Write a second hub and link it back to your first one.

    Hello Princessa,
    I just published this hub:

    http://hubpages.com/hub/how-to-regain-s … c-violence

Now I'm not sure how to do the rss feed. Do I load a link capsule or an rss capsule? What URL code do I copy? And where is the hubmob forum? Is this it?

Sorry but it's my first hubmob hub.I'll soon learn.

Can I go back and change the category for some of my HubMob hubs?

For example, can I change my Toys HubMob hubs from the default:  Games, Toys, Hobbies--> Toys

To:  Games, Toys, Hobbies --> board games --> Children’s Board Games?

Could I have changed the default and classified as the latter initially?

I just went through an experience of domestic violence tonight, my house got destroyed and I got beaten..but the assaulter was not arested by either town cop who showed up because its his word against mine??????

I just dont get it, when I heard the 2 cops talking in private ( I wasnt supposed to hear this ) I know he did this to hr and her things, Is=ts just sad I cant actually prove it..
the assaulter is a perfect lier when the cops are involved...

so look forward, I may be starting a hub about this, the sad thing is Im disabled and what can I do..this was the first time I felt it coming, hid my keys and purse, and my cell phone..I have had to buy 12 cell phones this year because he knocks me down, ties my feet and breaks them so I cant get help..he is sadistic when he gets drunk and Im in a situation where Im just numb....he is actually back in the house, they made him leave for the night and I heard him sneak in an hour ago....
to be continued...and I live where thee are no payphones within any distance but 7 miles away and my neighbors are too far off to hear me scream for help,,he always does this them stops , strokes my hair, says he loves me, and continues his sick ways..and my cars, I have 2, each time he steals the batteries out before he starts in on me..

You need expert help immediately.  I would even say that law enforcement may be a little fuzzy on the law.  Heaven forbid it happens again, but if it does exaggerate your injuries if you have to and insist on being taken to the hospital and be checked out.  Tell police something they can’t verify, but sounds like a liability if they don’t act.  Say he hit your head or you think you hit your head and you have blurred vision, nausea and a headache.  Say you have numbness in your hands and arms.  Say you hit your back and have numbness in your legs.  Then ask for a social worker at the hospital.

The very next time you have as much as 2 hours with your computer, phone and car, and without him, contact a social worker, lawyer or shelter and make your escape plan.  Be prepared to leave on a moment’s notice with the clothes on your back.  I hope you can remain safe until then.

Post in the family and relationships forum.  I'm sure there are people there with more experience and better advice.

Hi Shirley, I took the poster from Laura's hub

"The posters used on the hub are available for use. Even if you just have posters printed and displayed in areas where people are busy with their Christmas shopping it may change someone's life."

Here is the link to download the posters:

    http://www.westlancsdc.gov.uk/council__ … paign.aspx

I did actually send an e-mail asking for permission to use the images when I did my hub but have not received as reply as yet. I decided to use them anyway as they provide the option of downloading them and as it is all for a good cause I'm sure they will not have any objections.
